which is best and which is easy to get parts for the Startrite Super 260 is used but Felder BF5-26 has been recon this will but my first Woodworking Machine
and only sold it when I upgraded to a more modern felder. Excellent bit of kit could not fault it for its capabilities
Not too sure if you know anything about felder but If its the BF-5 I think you are refering to then it appears to have two extension tables which can extend any bed on the machine (including the planer beds which is a fantastic asset when straightening long lengths of timber)
Looking at that machine with its more modern rip fence my only qualification would be that when used as a planer fence there is no block attached to the side of the infeed table which allows the full width of the planer to be used with the fence
This bit
having said all of the above Felder do not keep spares forever and some parts may not be available, but then the 10" startrite I believe and stand to be corrected the original company went into liquidation many years ago and I would suggest are also not available
Finally if you do purchase the felder then I have a PDF which is a parts list and pictoral breakdown of every part on the machine which I could e-mail
