Hi,
I found this No3 on a car boot sale in a sorry state, I have tuned it which involves lapping the frog to fit the sole, flattening the face of the frog so the iron beds correctly, flattening the sole (apart from one small hollow) filling the mouth to allow the shavings to exit, sharpening the blade and fitting the cap iron to the blade.
It had nasty plastic handles so I made some new hardwood ones, its now set up as small a smoother with a tight mouth works well.
It must be from the late 70s early 80s as it has a 3 part lateral lever, so its well made and from just before the quality started to go down, price £20 and £5 postage.
Pete
