Stanley Combination No 45 - Trade45Mark

Is there any relevance to a US made Stanley No 45 plane with a casting mark ‘trade45mark’ ?

Am assuming it was just a mark used at some point in its history.

Hi Adrian, the marking you refer to was introduced on the TYPE 8 models of the 45 from 1907.
It was eliminated from the fence at the end of the TYPE 16 in 1948.
