Just wondering what people recommend to replace missing spindle moulder table insert rings? (spares are no longer available for machine). Shop made from plywood? Or is it possible to buy ready made ones in different sizes? Or get an engineer to knock up some steel ones? Thanks.

I've seen them made of mdf and engineering plastics like tufnol or similar.
You could use a circle jig and a router (or a wood lathe) to make some.

Another somewhat more definitive approach would be to have them made of aluminium,
properly tapped to accept grub screws such that they can be set perfectly flush with the
cast table.

I bet you could buy an ali set for another machine if not the same then slightly over size and just file down the outside edge of the biggest one

Thanks for these, that's a good suggestion Jacob, will see if I can find something that might serve....
