Hi guys!

I have been reading some articles on the web over the past few days about spalted wood an I have come across quite a few which state that it is possible to spalt your own wood!

I am just wondering if anyone has done this before? I would love to give it a go with some oak and ash but would like to know what you guys think of it.

Here are some links:

Interesting?

I had some chunks of unknown timber for turning and just left them under my apple tree for a year or two. When I came turn them their was some very nice figure and markings.
I also got some timber that was spalted in plank form, and made these.

Sweetly done, Mark.
Look great, especially the second one.
I'm hoping the same technique I've done with some of my stuff will work. (No real plan - just ran out of space under the wood store!)
