here is my spalted Silver birch natural Edged Bowl finished with 3 Coats Of sanding sealer 3 coats Of Friction Polish and A Wheelbarrow of carnauba wax then Burnished With Shavings On The Lathe My Photography is as useless as my turning but I hope you at least enjoy what you can see

Bill, that bowl looks great!. Loving the different colours that run through it, that's definitely what is known as Spalted!. Great finish too!.
 
Looks like you have managed to do a good job with that Bill.
Finish looks good on it.
Could you have taken the bowl deeper :?:

Thanks for comments but With The bowl being 3 Inch deep at its highest point I left just Over 1/4 inch with the dovetail recess this bowl I turned green as grass in woodys workshop back in October and left it in a bag of shavings until today when I finished it as I said my photographic mind is not the best and its very deceiving as to how deep it actually is I didn't go too thin unless it cracked and I lost all the bark I hope this explains it more clearly

Thank you People for all your comments all taken onboard and as you say steven its nice to get back on the lathe but I still got to take it easey incase I damage it anymore than it is at the moment but im taking things slowly
