I cleared this space Friday it was full of those waste offcuts that accumulate and you know will never be used. Saturday afternoon visiting a neighbour who had had a decking job finished by contractors, the neighbour twisted my arm and helped me carry these 48 balcony spindles into my nice clear workshop space.

So now I have got enough timber to make another 6 planter frame holders in treated timber.

This woodwork pastime seems never ending.

Went out to the workshop at 7.30am this morning and there was a large piece of 5ply propped against the door.
Whats the word for opposite of being burgled. :)

I get this happening to me too!
People know I cant resist a bit of wood, at worst it gets logged for the winter fire.

Last time some arrived (I still don't know were from!) I commented to SWMBO that I must have a reputation, she replied "yeah! bloody Steptoe!"

Don't knock it, you could wake upto worse.

I suffer from the same problems. I keep bringing lumps of oak offcuts home from work which were only otherwise gonna end up in the bin. I've got plans to turn one piece in to a house sign, but I've no room left anywhere to store the rest! Plus, it's possible I'll be offered a few more pieces next week!

I also just got rid of my little table saw which has been redundant since I bought a bandsaw. I appreciate the extra space eBay has now given me but I'm already thinking of how I can squeeze a mitre saw & stand AND a morticer in to that space! :?
