I apologise if this topic is already been covered but I have looked and cannot find it. If it has no doubt someone will guide me to it.

I have inherited a 1986 Kity 5 which on initial examination has a few bits missing. Looking on the internet I can find no spares suppliers but note that new Kity machines e.g.KityBestcombi 2600 are still on sale which look similar in parts to the Kity 5. It is possible that the manufacturers have used similar parts in some cases.

Would someone be kind enough to send me photocopies of the parts list/drawings so that I can compare with the Kity5 list which I have?

Thank you in anticipation.

There was a large batch of kity spares sold on ebay a couple of weeks ago, and the listing said 75% were part numbered. It you get the part numbers you need, it may be worth trying to track down the buyer (may be through the seller?). As far as I know, Kity are no longer making anything. The current stuff seems to be Scheppach http://www.nmatools.co.uk/productdetail ... oduct=1055 but NMA may have some spares. They were scare when I needed some for a 419 though. I looked at the ebay listing to see whether it might be worth identifying bits and selling them individually, but I thought better of it.

You may be lucky- it is reasonably likely that other machines used the same parts. Hopefully that will make them a bit more readily available.

What bits are missing? NMA may have some version or other of a parts diagram.

Marcros, Thanks for your prompt helpful post. I'll check out NMA and keep an eye on ebay. Not too sure of what is missing. The slide bars (part No. N. 30 Ref. 50 2424) on the slot mortising unit are definitely missing. It's a winter project so I'll gradually work through the units.

Thanks again for your help.

I recently contacted NMA for some spares for my old Kity 619. They couldn't have been more helpful. They had all the exploded diagrams to hand so they quickly knew which parts I was describing. Most of the parts I needed were in stock but one wasn't. That one I was told could be obtained (from Germany I think) within a few weeks. They also told me that almost any old Kity spare part could be obtained as Scheppach bought all the old Kity tooling and could manufacture parts as required if they didn't have stock of them.

I thought the parts were pretty reasonably priced on the whole but the one that wasn't in stock was a bit pricey.

Anyway, well worth a call on 01484 400488, I spoke to Simon and he was ace :)
