A mate of mine is doing a charity banger rally from Lands End to John O'Groats in aid of the RNLI - http://www.end2endrun.com/index.esp They decided this year to turn their car into a space shuttle 
I won't bother with too any descriptions as it's simply cut to shape and screwed together. We had to make sure it was solid as it will be mounted on the roof of a car. The front end was shaped from polystyrene and there is a tray in the back end that slides in and out to house a smoke machine and inverter to give the shuttle some life!
It'll be on it's way to Lands End this weekend where it will be bolted to the actual car. There will also be some more detail painted on so I'll have a couple more pics from him when it's done.
