With the likes of The Bridge, The Killing, Breaking Bad and Salamander on in the recent past there seems to be a raft of good and very watchable crime based TV these days along with series 4 of G of T.

Did anybody catch True Detectives? Some of the best TV I've seen and the Fargo series started last week so looking forward to episode 2 tonight. Inspired by the 1996 Coen Bros film Martin Freeman is a revelation with his character. Wife didn't last long.....
I missed the Welsh version of Hinterland and the English version starts tomorrow night and by all accounts it should be very good.

While it's not strictly a crime drama, I really like Grimm. Bit daft in places but it's good fun to watch.

If you want an excellent drama/triller series, then The Fall, is great. However it's subject matter is utterly grim. Not one to watch alone in the dark one evening. Whitechapel and Luther are slightly less grim and also worth a watch.

Caught the first ep of True Detectives and it is indeed good.

Wife didn't last long...... Arrrrrrgh! Spoiler alert, maybe??? I have it still to watch.... Anyway, glad it's a goodun, with Walking Dead, Silk, Falling Skies, Musketeers (ok, guilty pleasure there) all finished for the time being. There's also the second series of Hannibal coming up with the superb Mads Mikelson...

Cheers,
Adam

Enjoyed the last series of The Fall and the new one should be good. I've never heard of Grimm. After a quick gleek at Wiki and IMDB it looks interesting. I'll check it out. I see a further series is being made.

Title amended Adam. :)

Grimm is a bit daft. But it's easy watching and good fun. It is a bit slow to start, so if you watch the first few eps and don't like it much, it's worth keeping on going with it.

The Fall is excellent, but I can't say that I really enjoyed it. The subject is just a little bit to horrible for me.

Myself and the wife sat completely mesmerised by True Detective.........absolutely compelling viewing, amazing acting, some of the best characters seen in a drama for some time, ( My wife is completely obsessed with Rust Cohle) amazing music, stunning photography, incredible dialogue with some fantastically memorable lines, Lilli Simmons in frilly pants. ( Google her if you dont know to what I refer..) .........what more can I say!!!! I finished each episode on a complete high, and just wanting more......

As you say, some great stuff on TV Now, GOT season 4, Mammon, House of Cards, Fargo, its truly the golden age of TV drama.

I have to admit to agreeing with you all on this. I have just finished watching the Breaking bad series and was totally engrossed. I am also now engrossed in Mammon and Fargo at the moment. I also hear there is another series of The Returned being filmed too. Can't wait for that one. :D

Mailee, you're a gentleman of refined taste. : ) Try and catch True Detective, better than BB I think: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2356777/?ref_=nv_sr_1 and only 8 episodes to watch. My no 1 of them all so far.
Have yet to watch Mamon but keeping it for later.

Enjoyed Hinterland tonight, well written, acted and filmed. Police chief seems a bit iffy?

Engrenages/Spiral should be back with us later this year.
