My day numbering does not include weekends so today is day 10.
It has been strange after all the activity from day 1 to day 7 ie last Thursday that nothing has happened on site until today ie day 10.
Today the bricks, blocks, sand, and cement along with the builders have arrived on site and the external brickwork is now almost up to floor level.
Considering the heat they have done very well.

End of day 10.

Well PT I have to say I'm seriously impressed with your rate of progress. I might post up my build one of these days but our groundwork's took a heck of a lot longer than yours. At this rate you'll be putting scaffolding up for the roofing in a fortnight!!!

Have you got the builder on a contracted schedule (with punitive measures for failure to meet milestones) or is it just a good team?

Thanks for your interest ROB.
We did a lot of research over the last 18 months and have appointed a builder that I think that we can trust.
None of the utility companies are prepared to do any work on site within 9mts of any scaffolding even if no body is working on it . Our gas and and electric supplies are booked for the 2nd week of September and our builder has assured us that the scaffolding will have been put up and taken down by then we wait and see.,

Well I am so tired that I don't know what day of the week it is let alone what day of our build it is but this is progress so far.

Up to now our builders have been fantastic and I am struggling to clear my old workshop ready to make it smaller.

Excellent progress, A pleasure to look at, it's nice to see how building can, and should be done.
Well done on you're builder choice.

Watertight.jpg

Well at almost 3 months to the day we now have a water tight shell with all services connected.
Sorry not to have updated this thread sooner but I am working at the limit of my practical and physical abilities and if I am not working on our project i am sleeping.

Congratulations on the build, very well done! You've got the right team there.
Are the same firm doing the work inside?
