I have a couple of RP DX4000. I use one with my Felder cf741 and the other with everything else.
I'm not sure quite how I decided on this but it works well. I also moved them into a wooden cabinet outside the garage but modified the switches to be driven from a home built remote in the garage.
I think that I would only swap for a large size Bill Pentz cyclone style DE and that would be outside as well.
