Hi i've got a job coming up for an oak gate which needs to slide. Does anyone have any reccomendations for hardware as i have never made one before.

The Gate will be approx 4m long X 1.8m high and doesn't need to be electric as it is just to divide some courtyards in a barn conversion.

cheers

Hi,
I wish I could remember the brand name of a system I used recently on quite a heavy door. It was only rated to work with a 50kg door, however the actual door was probably much heavier. The door was really quite wide, so I join two tracks together for it to slide and hang on from above. There wasn't really much to it once the overhead track was levelled up correctly, hand the door and then find the acurate correct position for the floor roller wheels to keep the door against the wall.

There was another thread by someone in Belgium making sliding gates, but I'm blowed if I can find it, it's here somewhere.
