Hello, we are in a converted bungalow, and to make a little more storage space, I have decided to use some of the "roof space" at the end of one of the rooms as storage and to put sliding doors on.
The height to the bottom of the exposed timber purlin is roughly 1000mm and the length is roughly 3200mm.
I have looked quickly on google for some sliding doors, but the few companies on there are asking silly money.
Does anyone know of a more economical way to do it without compromising quality, I am able to build stuff myself, but not so sure that I actually want to do the doors myself.
Does anyone know of any suppliers of any of the components necessary where I can begin my search ?

hawa make a good quality range of furniture door gear, i'm doing some at the mo'.

any decent ironmongers will sell them.

£300 for the set i'm using now, 3x40kg doors. doubt you would need that heavy.

wouldm't reccomend skimping on the track. hawa are easy to fit, come with great fitting drawings, much more durable and generally have plenty of adjustment.

Hi, thanks for the ideas, I have looked and have a much better idea of what I am going to do.
Thanks.

Thanks for that, just had a thought though, i haven`t checked, but floor and purlin are unlikely to run perfectly parallel, so need to think of something first to fix this, probably some kind of base.
