SketchUp -- Biscuits & Gravy

Here in the US, mainly in the south, sausage gravy served over baking powder biscuits is a tasty breakfast treat. Do you all have anything like that? Since biscuits to you are cookies to us, what would you call the things we call biscuits?

Well, this doesn't have anything to do with breakfast but here you go. Biscuits & Gravy :mrgreen:

I do like a good fry-up occasionally, or a kedgeree when she can be bothered...

I am sure that some one once told me that the closest thing we have to your biscuits are scones. The difference is that here we have them as a sweet with jam and cream

That looks revolting to me! I wouldn't eat it for breakfast or any other meal for that matter.

I changed the photo. Maybe it is less revolting. No matter what it looks like, sausage gravy does taste quite good and it is a simple and inexpensive thing to make.

I'd forgotten about scones. I suppose you could make them without the sugar and get a reasonable facsimile of a baking powder biscuit.

Yes. That looks better - I'd probably give that a go.

The Poutine looks worth a try too - I like gravy on chips anyway.

I wonder what the calorie counters and cholesterol measurers think of them? :?
