Yes. You can change to metric. Go to Window>Model Info>Units. Set Format to Decimal and choose the desired units and precision.
Do a search here for "template" to find my babbling about setting up a template so that you don't have to make the setting above each time. There is also a metric template or two in the Remplates folder that you can choose if you want.
