I'm working out our new workshop layout in sketch up and wondered if theres anywhere you can get models of machines to save having to draw them - they dont need to be super detailed just representative

i need morticer, pillar drill, router table, thicknesser, mitre saw, work bench, bandsaw and saaw table

The Google Sketchup Warehouse has lots. If yo saw BW a couple of issues back there was an article using just such models. It took no time at all to do, it's just like clip art.

thanks for that guys - i hadnt realised about the warehouse

how do you resize the models once youve downloaded them ? - the resize arrow jobbie doesnt want to work

( ive only had a sketch up a few days - as it wouldnt run on my previous copmputer, so i'm in the midst of teaching myself how to use it)

They are scale drawings, if you resize them, then you loose the scale. If you do want to then there is a scale tool in SU

doh - i hadnt drawn the workshop to scale - when i measured on SU my drawing was 68m long ( I wish , in reality its about a tenth of that), which is why the machines looked tiny - ive now redrawn it to scale and all is now cushty - thanks for the help
