i am sure we will paul, when we get a picture

One or two challenges in work holding and dimension control in that piece.

That looks very classic in design and well made. It really works with the skeleton clock. A lot of thought obviously went into it

i agree with the rest paul, its stunning. infact i was at turners-retreat yesterday and they have one on show just the same. well done, whoever gets that will/should be very chuffed.

thanks everyone for your comments 8)
sorry about the size of the picture Blister
i will try to work out how to make the pics bigger - if anyone has any tips for this they would be greatly appreciated.
hope you all had a great christmas and look forward to a cracking new year.
cheers paul

paul, the way i post pics on the forum as follows.

get signed up to photobucket, then upload your photo. once its in your gallery, point the mouse over the pic you want to upload, you will see a drop down listrun your mouse cursor slowly down the list untill you get to the last one ( img ) left click it and it changes to blue ( highlighted ) right click and you want copy. then go to your post and do your writeup. start a new line but dont write, just right click and then click paste. then all you after do then is submit your post, like this. this was resized to med.

Great looking clock Paul :D
Is the main frame done in seperate pieces or have you cut it away to get the two different sized diameters :?:

thanks for all your comments everyone :D
hi Paul
the main frame is 2 pieces
one the clock sits in
the other -the surround is a ring cut in half and it is connected to the clock ring by 3 dowels to fix its position
hope these photos help explain better than i can :?
cheers paul
