SIP is a lovely make. I bought a variable speed Clarke a couple of years ago that I mounted on a unit on casters that I made for it. I didn't like the idea of a fixed machine either on a bench or bolted to the floor, as they take up so much room if you're not swimming in square metres.
Clarke drill press is a nice machine, but has it's negative points like they all do. I bought a mortise attachment for it - works a treat once I'd bought half decent bits for it.
