Hi all,

I bought this saw on special at Costco this morning. (£99 ex VAT) :D

Not having the in depth experience on this type; I found it easy to assemble and set up. One item not documented was the method used to set up the guide. One must revolve the centre first to tension the internal spring, then pin it down with the screws. Otherwise the guide will not return into position when the head goes up (as it where).

Other then that it seems pretty good and cuts straight.

It is all cast aluminium and seem solid with a 2400w motor. Not to noisy either.

One minor fault is the cut-out for the nut (holding the blade) - methinks it has been mounted back to front since it does not line up allowing the removal of the blade nut with the socket tool provided. So now I will have to use a flat spanner. Nothing serious actually.

Pretty good buy it seems with a 2 year guarantee. :D

Anyone looking out for one needs to act this week to obtain the special.

Cheers.

I was tempted by this offer as the saw has had good reviews by Tony and others. Unfortunately I have absolutely nowhere to put it until I have a major re-organisation of my workshop.
