With the materials for the woodstore roof on hand I needed a side project that I could complete in one sitting. I thought it would be nice to have a proper home for all my planes I've collected.
The frame is 12mm plywood with a 44mm redwood frame. I used the bullnose and the no. 78 to form a rebate for the lower section and for the upper section I did half-laps. I planed the entire length of the bottom section to form a retention lip. Little neodynium magnets help hold them in place and the smaller ones can 'float' like this.
Had some 44x44 lying around from the woodstore build so I ripped these down on the bandsaw to make the dividers. These are just screwed in place.
The caddy is then bolted onto the stud wall and the lower section has a intermediate bolt to offer an adjustable relief angle.
