Hi, seeking advice.
I am currently restoring a Sheppach CI 2500 Bench Saw, I am missing the rip fence and the sliding cross-cut fence, I have contacted suppliers but the replacements seem to be very expensive circa 500euro for Rip Fence.
My query is, would an after market rip fence be a suitable replacement, and if so any recommendation's for same.

Ten or more years ago, I used an Axminster fence, similar (if not identical to) this:

It was very good, as I recall. Easy to install, simple to accurately adjust, solid. It’s pretty straightforward to make something that works on similar principles (utube is your friend), but at £140, the Axminster makes a pretty compelling case.
