Been away 6 months and come back to find that roofing felt has failed on roof and floor, ceiling and walls at one third of shed is soaked. Not a happy lad right now. Been given a pile of corrugated clear plastic sheets which I'm now gonna use.

Question is do I remove the felt to expose the osb board underneath or lay the corrugated sheet over the top?

Remove the felt. One you inspect for any further damage. 2 once the new sheets are on they will provide air flow to dry the boards. If the felt is left on, it will trap the water and take ages to dry.

Just a quick update on my leaking roof...

After some careful inspection under the felt the boards beneath seemed to be in pretty good condition. My final decision was to leavethe felt inplace and fit corrugated plastic roofing sheets over the top.

One winter later and my shop is bone dry and back in full swing with my latest project (threadto follow on that one).

Highly recommend the corolux roofing sheets, covered the entire roof in 2 hours. Wish I'd used them from the start. Holding up well against the gale force winds we get coming up from the valley.
