Hi

Can anyone give any advice on checking to see if a set square is square ?

I have about 7 all different sizes and would like to know they are square before relying them

Cheers

Allen

Draw a line using the square in the normal way. Then flip the square over and see if the 'blade' is parallel with the line you've just drawn. If the line is parallel then the square is 'square'. If not then the angle shown is double the error.

Clear as mud?

Cheers, Vann.

The surface you're referencing from (putting the stock on) to draw the check lines needs to be at least as straight as the acccuracy you're trying to check to.
