Hi there,

Can any of you please recommend a courier to send a package of approx 2.5kilos and measuring about the size of a shoe box - to the US from theUK. I would need to insure the package for £1800 GBP, require tracking and a signature at the other end.

Any advice welcome.

All the best,

David

Second vote for UPS. I use their service all the time for items of £10k plus value (electronics). They've never been late or lost anything yet. You pay more you get more, as always.

both fed ex and ups are good, but suggest you confirm where your package is going, and then see about the way in which both companies send through their hubs. fed ex use a hub in the south somewhere, and then re-ship, not sure about ups.

all big couriers will do the insurance, the big problem is the packaging, you will have to check what they prefer. measure the item, check its weight, and then how fragile it is before you chat them up. most will require you to prepay, and may not deliver to a post box on the other side, so be sure you have a proper address for the delivery.

otherwise they are both pretty good, except of course sh*t always happen when you do not want it too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good luck
paul
