Thought i'd share this with you....

I just passed my Driving Test! woohooo \:D/

It's only taken me 10yrs! Not through bad driving, just laziness. What with recently getting engaged I thought it was time to grow up and get me licence.

No more busses!

Congratulations :D

But "time to grow up" ? - where's the fun in that :?:

Andrew (41,and still haven't grown up..)

Yeah congratulations from me too

at least you do not have to pay a busload of money on your insurance as you will not be considered as a boy racer

McLuma

Judging by some of the folks behind the wheel, growing up is not compulsory...  Congrats, Tom.

Cheers, Alf

thank you very much guys. its great to finally have achieved it and will solve a few headaches.

Thanks Chris, she said yes on a recent trip to Venice.

Congrats on the driving test and welcome to the headaches and expense of running a car. :( :(

Congrats on the engagement as well, hope your future SWMBO accepts that you'll contiually be buying tools. :D :D

WiZer

Congratulations on both counts, saving for the wedding or the new workshop you were planning   :-k :?

That's what Venice is for :)

Congrats on all your news, although as Waka says, motoring is an expensive business these days - really cuts into your tool and wood budget!

cheers, it does pose some financial conundrums. For the time being we will be sharing a car until after the big day. In the short term its going to make me more mobile. There is the possibility that I will find myself driving to toolshops, but that's a good thing.... right?

Congrat's WiZeR :eek:ccasion5: , I wonder if that makes me the oldest learner on this
forum.I'm now 50 and had my provisional since I was 16, keep thinking about taking a test but another new/needed tool keeps popping up. :tool:
Maybe one day soon.

Hey, congratulations!! :D

Wanting to drive is one thing, but actually taking the time and putting the amounts of money and effort in to the full learning process is seen as a bigger challenge than actually taking the test itself!

Driving tests are getting tougher all the time as well, so you've done yourself, and your familly, very proud indeed.

But you know what this really means, don't you...

You can join the rest of us in filling your motor with as many oversized lengths of timber as you can possibly not fit into your car on a regular basis! Through the passenger window, out the sunroof, leave the boot open for those 8x4 sheets...

Here comes the fun part! :D
