Good evening,
First time for me.
I stumbled across this forum this evening and saw the theme where Dave asked a question about segmented turning as he wanted to make a turned birdhouse? I was more surprised to find my details mentioned by another contributor. Thank you.
Yes I do indeed make turned birdhouses and supply sets of plans etc via Ebay or via my website www.chelmerwoodturning.co.uk
For info Dave the segments (staves) are 12 in number and have a 15 degree slope on each long side.
Any questions please ask.
regards to all.

to the forum Neil,

Thanks for your kind offer of help, I went onto your website after after asking help on the maths of working out angles and have since made some similar to yours,a few details are different to your design such as I remove the top on mine for cleaning this being a tight fit to stop it from blowing off, and the bird access hole is opposite the holding bracket to enable the bracket to be screwed on via this hole with a long screwdriver.

These were not my ideas but from a member of my turning club in Shrewsbury, who has sold quite a few over the years. I really like your bird feeder and will have a look on ebay for the plans.

Anyhow welcome to the forum which I have learnt quite a lot from since joining, and have never failed to get a helpful reply on any of my pleas for help.
Regards Dave
