Excellent bit of work - what glue did you use to stick the wood CA?

Dave

thanks guys, the timbers are,,, bloodwood, walnut and maple. all glued together with med ca, sorry but cant get a bigger pic untill later.

Nice mix of wood, can you tell us the process? looks a bit fiddly!!
Does the CA hold ok when you turn the wood so thin?
Any advice on the best place to buy pen kits?
Sorry for all the :?: :?: just started to try my hand at pen turning!!!
:D

hiya john, the process is very long, over one hundred cuts, and plenty of ca, and turned with a very sharp oval skew. if you are just starting to turn pens then i would start looking on ebay, just type in pen kits and you are away. or you can get them from http://www.turners-retreat.co.uk
you can also get them from axminster and styles and bates.

Very nice pen :D

Stiles and Bates, and Turners retreat do some nice pen kits. Have a look in both there new catalogues 8)
