Hi my names Ian from north Staffordshire I am converting a bed room into a craft room and want to build a bench for scroll sawing I am looking at buying the Axminster scroll saw.
So what's the best height for working siting down with a scroll saw.

Ian ,probably most folk on here could give you a measurement straight off ,however as a newbie I dont have the answer to hand . I will measure my stand tomorrow and post what mine is.

there is no certain height, it all depends how tall you are. One thing you do need is to be able to see over the table, so the table of the saw is the height you are looking for, if you sit down and put your saw on a chair you should be able to gauge a rough height for yourself, just make sure it will be solid when fitted..

My saws are on a bench rather than stands and I sit on stools with backs and both are adjustable for height. The ideal height for me is when sitting on the stool is to have the table of the saw level with my elbows and that works well for most people.
