Hi
I know it seems like a silly question but does anyone know what screws I should use to attach these to a PVCu patio door:

I'm just putting an order into Screwfix so if there's a correct type of screw to use can try and get it. I won't be able to cover any mistakes up!
Many thanks
Gidon

Just had a look at screwfix and the pan head window screw looks your best bet.You will need the pointed ones for pvc or the self drilling ones if there is reinforcing steel where you are fixing.Chances are there wont be any reinforcing where you are drilling.

Just an addendum.Fitted a lot of pvc doors and fitted hooks at customers request. They can SOMETIMES pull out of the doors due to the nature of the material and where they are fitted on the doors. If the pvc is made up of chambers, the screw needs to pass thugh at least two of these chambers.Do your doors open right back enabling them to be fitted on the handle side(preferable) or are you fitting them on the hinge side ?

Many thanks Steve! Do you reckon I'll get away with bog standard single thread or twinthread screws - or the ones that will come with it - will they hold in your experience? Minimum order of those window screws is 1000!
Cheers
Gidon

The ones that come with it will be next to useless. They will be for wood probably.Screws for uPVC have a deep thread so they grip the plastic.Buying a thousand is obviously out of the question unless you can use them elsewhere but even then they are expensive. Are there any double glazing suppliers near you?Might be a better bet.Or if you see someone fitting some windows, ask them for a handful.I often get asked for stuff when i'm working and happy to oblige.

I suppose at a push, twinthread screws may do the job but wouldn't swear to it.

Good idea - couple of years ago,was looking for 4 screws to re-fix a striker plate on a upvc door;went to the local upvc window and door maker to ask where I could buy them from, and they happily gave me a handful for free.
