It's not much of a curve, and the way you describe it it sounds like a convex curve only, which is easier than a concave. The detail will depend on how much wood you can waste / whether you need several components nested alongside each other.

Forgive me if I'm being thick but if you are cutting a curved piece of wood out of a straight edged piece of wood, aren't you cutting both a convex and a concave curve at the same time?

that is exactly it will.

What I meant was this:

If you are cutting a convex shape, you can cut a series of long straight cuts, which are tangential to the curve. You can then plane or sand down to the line. As the cuts are outside the curve, the saw can be as big as you like - it could even be a powered circular saw.

But if you are cutting a concave shape, you need a narrow bladed saw which can turn along the curve.

Cutting long tangents would be wasteful of wood.

Cutting two or more curved components nested against each other would need a narrow bladed saw, as in that case you would be making both concave and convex shapes at the same time.

I think I might be inclined to just use a plane, it's a long curve so shouldn't be too hard to get a plane into.

Mark the curve both sides, start in the centre and work out to the edges taking little cuts, then finally cut to the line in a continuous stroke.

Probably not described very well, but check the Lie Nielsen you tube chanel for the correct use of a scrub plane and they do something similar on there.
