Just got in from our local car boot

I managed to find an Eclipse #77 saw setter and another saw sett I would like more info on....

Morrill Special Saw Set, it's much the same size as the Eclipse but it has an adjustable screw to set for the saw blade thickness and the offset is more refined than the eclipse. (sorry no pics I left my camera on my boat)

The lever handle has "Chas Morrill New York" on it, the other handle has cast into it "Morrill" and "Apex"

anyone know more about it?

I also picked up off the same bloke three rasps in excellent condition two triangular files and one round file.

Nearly forgot to say what I paid for everything

More, much more, than you ever wanted to know here. Think I've got one of those somewhere but it certainly isn't even remotely shiny...

Cheers, Alf

Who spent a whole 10 new pence on a pair of calipers today, the big spender. #-o

Thanks Alf, mine must look like yours then, never dreamed that it was once plated. So mine was patented as Charles Morrill Patent Jan 8, 1895, it's a bit older than me then
