Can anyone recommend a supplier of 10" saw blades for a radial arm saw, it needs to be 5/8" bore (no reducing rings) preferably negative rack?

I just bought a 10" CMT from Axminster for my tablesaw an the quality over the others I have owned is very evident. I am very impressed with manufacturing and the amount of carbide on each tip

Have you had a look at the Workshop Heaven site, lately? Matthew's added a new range of blades from Atkinson Walker. Each blade is made individually to order and you can specify the blade bore. You may have to contact Matthew directly for an imperial size though... Matthew also suggested to me that they're almost on a par with Freud and CMT blades but, at a reduced cost!

What first caught my eye was that they do 190mm blades with up to 60 teeth - none of the others seem to offer more than 40t. 8)

oh bum I just spent three days trying to find an odd sized Freud blade. Found one now but would have tried these out if I'd known.

Just a heads up & thank you to Matthew at Workshop Heaven.

I spoke to Matthew around dinner time on Wednesday & placed an order for a blade, when i arrived home tonight from work the new blade was there waiting for me
First class service, thank you Matthew.

Now all that`s left is to put my engineering hat on, skim the cup washers that hold the blade in position & finally i might have a RAS that cuts accurately.

Doug, I look forward to hearing how you get on with this new blade but, does this mean they don't offer blades with imperial bore diameters?

I wanted to replace the blade on my cheap Clarke TS but as it's a 16mm bore I couldn't find a Freud or other quality replacement from the usual suppliers. Found this thread and ordered online from Workshop heaven on Thursday, about £5 cheaper than a Freud. Blade was with me Friday lunchtime.

Now I just need to tweak the rest of the saw to make it cut straight.

Olly, I don`t know if they do imperial diameter bores, i`d originally measured across the thread on the shaft which isn`t the most accurate thing to do, this is were i came up with 5//8.
Before placing the order i took the old blade off & checked the smooth part of the shaft where the blade sits, that was 4 thou bigger, so it was infact a 16mm bore.
