Sargent planes

hi hoping somone might be able to help me i have started collecting hand planes taking its toll collected 40 planes in the last 6 months i have collected a few sargent planes its hard to get a good trustworthy dating system .Why im posting is with a quere when did sargent stop putting there name in the sole of some of there planes i have a 409 with no logo pressed into the base and no number either just made in usa

Hi Wilkie,
Are you an expert on Sargent Planes by now?
I have a smoothing Sargent but where do I find its number so that I have an idea of its production date?
Is it a characteristic of these planes that the adjusting blade screw is anti-clockwise?
Any info welcome.
