Steve ,that looks terrific and should be a real want one for Xmas piece .What wood and what finish do you use .

Thank you, the wood is beech and i just sanded it, teak oil then sealed the part to be painted and used acrylic to paint santa..

Steve found your Santa on Facebook, it's very nice, how did you achieve the effect on Santa's fur? is it painted on or carved before you painted it?

Hi stew
i bought a product called Decoart snow tex, its like polyfiller with grit in it, only smoother (if that makes sense).
Its easy enough to apply and can make things like snowmen and santas or snow scenes look better..
