I n the sixties I made a toy fort for my son Les,I made it using a hand fretsaw(how long it took me too long ago to remember) it was later passed on to a family member (STUPID OF ME).
Later in the Nineties along came Adam grandson number one (now have six) I was fortunate to be able to get the same plan from Hobbies that I had made for my son.Now I had my Hegner, and was able to cut same size pieces, four at the same time. The fort was finished on the sixteenth of January 1995.The ugly one holding the fort when is being put away is yours truly.

Very well done Bryan, you have the patience of a saint. A very nice job and I am sure it will be well received by those who will enjoy playing with it as much as you did making it.

Thanks Bryan.
Like the FD hat as well, must have bought a lot of blades lol.

I'm looking to do a castle for my Grandson, but he's only 2 weeks old.

Cheers

Hi George I promised a friend that I would try to get him the plan at Hobbies, they were reformed some while ago so a lot of the old plans were lost.I at the time had took tracings of the plan, and today I have found I hope all the tracings. Now I have stuck them on paper the size you take copies of.

At first glance I thought it was, because it was all over the plan and the plan that I had was the same colour of green, then I saw the towers on the keep and they were different. It could have been a earlier plan to the one that I used.If you look at mine the towers on the main keep are a different shape,no fancy bits on the tops.

I think Hobbies used that green colour for every plan they did!
