Hi,

A very quick question: - I have some plaster that was damp and has dried. I keep getting the 'salts' coming through the plaster and I need to paint the plater (It is already emulsioned) and I don't want to re plaster - what product can I use to stop the salts coming through the plaster.

Thanks,

David

This excellent website from Dulux has a wealth of answers to paint problems including yours.

Have you removed the original cause of damp? If not then it will come back. If it was new plaster then perceived wisdom is to let it dry for 12 months before painting (hah....as if  )
