Hi all
Having succesfully secured a Triton router from Andy Pullen (cheers Andy) I am now turning my attention to the table into which it will be used.
2 options:
1 - buy a triton router table - £85 at b&q - plus the bracket kit which enables it to be removed quickly. useful as I would like to use the router for work (kitchens etc).
I really like the idea of being able to shim the fence on this router table to clean the edges of boards up - great for the fitted bedrooms i do. I am also about to buy a workcentre 2000, so would be able to mount the table on that. And it will store out of the way easily - my shop space is at a premium.
2 - build my own station. i have a load of bits n pieces (mounting plate, t-track, mitre gauge etc) which i bought a couple of years ago in anticipation of building a table.
I can obviously build this to my own spec, and am tempted to build a "half" station - ie one which fits under the bench, and can be pulled out when required.
I am erring towards the Triton, but would welcome any users experience or advice.
Cheers
Karl
