The Trend T11 is a good router and being able to adjust from above a table is a big plus if you don't have a router lift


Guide rails are OK but not really a necessity.  About 25 years ago I bought an 8 x4 sheet of 19 mm birch ply, and cut a piece about 150 mm wide off the length.  I've used the manufacturers edge of that piece as a guide rail for saws and routers ever since.  Just clamp it down and run the base of the router along it.
