May be too late, but to add my two penneth worth!
Consider sending yourself on a course. You should get to use several different makes and understand the pros and cons of each (then decide you actually need 3!)
More importantly you will learn how to use it safely and to use it confidently. Even the little trim routers can be evil if they take umbridge!
