Robert Sorby firmer chisels

These were a recent e-bay acquisition. 1", 3/4", 1/2" and 1/4".

Does anybody know anything about these chisels - ie whether they were available in other sizes? I really like them, and wouldn't mind completing the set.

May be that these chisels are it, as far as a range goes. Firmer chisels, made for heavy hammering witnessed by the shock absorber rings fitted at the handle/tang joints, most likely targeted at site joiners, shipbuilders and the like. Half way between sash and paring chisels, workhorses and a good find on your part, hope they give you many years service...bosshogg
