Anyone got the Robert Sorby Deluxe Revolving Centre System? Looking for items for the xmas list and I could do with a nice revolving centre. The fact that it allows you to do deep hole boring is attractive. What do yo think?

I have one and it's useful, for boring lamps and supporting them once bored out with the auger, and the cups have been useful too ... in fact I have 2 (almost) ... as I have a nearly complete set to go with an M1 that's gathering dust unused since I moved to a newer, bigger lathe with an M2 tailpiece ... open to an offer?

I have one of these and rate it very highly. I brought it from Turners Retreat when on special offer and use it all the time.

I bought one and it didn't run true. Sent it back and bought the Axminster equivalent. May have been a one off problem but what happened to quality control.

thanks guys. Seems worthy of the xmas list. Fingers crossed ;)

Hello all,

I also have the sorby system and the bearings went in under 6 months, still it was replaced and is still going strong ,,,,so far. The interchangeable tips are very useful though

I've got the Hegner promax as well. I've also got the Hegner Marlin drive centre as well. These two mean I can carry on buying bits for them for years to soothe my tool frenzy.

Hi Dudes! I've gotten the Dale Nish modified centre which is very good. Getting on top of my backlog and tying up a few loose ends here.
