they seem good value for the money. I have just ordered one to try it out.

I have ordered one as well, don't know how well it will fit around a beard, but thought it would do for spraying, save wearing the Trend power hood.

I have ordered one too. I use one for spraying with appropriate filters. Very good masks IMO.

Quite simply, it won't.
My company use these a lot. Rule is all operatives must be clean shaven, no arguements.

Its stubble rather than a full beard, I think it will work to a certain extent, but will see when it arrives.

No.
You will not get an effective seal

I do RPE qualative & quantative tests and promise you it can't be done.

If you value your lungs stick with the Trend.

I got back from a week and a half in Norway today and my mask was waiting for me. Haven't tried it in anger, but looks good for the money and feels comfortable. Is the seal test something that can be done at home, and what should I do to test the fit?

Take the filters off, fit the mask, cover the filter holes with the palms of your hand and breathe in. If you can't it fits fine :)

Also works if you blow out of your mouth, the mask should inflate and lift off your face as mine does despite the stubble.
