Hi

I have a small crack in a bit of wood and a friend has suggested a two part clear resin to repair it (that makes your eyes water when you are ding it)

He cant remember the trade name and Ive not found anything that matches the description.

Any clues?

Thanks

Sounds like a polyester resin if it make your eyes water

I used Araldite to fill cracks and knots in pippy oak, coloured with coffee powder.

What is the wood? You can get coloured additives and metal powders to mix with the resin that look really good. Just a thought.
http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/ for one do a comprehensive catalogue.

I've bought several things from these guys, pretty competitive prices and great service. for filling cracks etc no need to get the casting clear range of resin (unless you are looking to use some of the non black coloured powder pigments), thier general purpose resin works just fine and seems to keep forever.
