My daughter has old aluminium double glazing. The seals are shot and the draughts coming through are horrendous. From the photos I've been sent, it looks like the outer layer is a fibrous brush type seal, and that someone has stuck some sticky back foam rubber seal over a slot where I presume a proper seal was once installed.

I shall be having a look myself in a couple of weeks, but it would be helpful to know beforehand what type of seal to use. Presumably a bubble seal of some sort compatible with the existing slot? Any ideas gratefully received.

Thanks Robin. That's a really helpful link. My daughter has sent off for the 10 Bubble Gasket Sample Pack. I'm sure there will be something from there that will fit, and we can order a supply of the right seal from that.
