Rehandling chisels: Where do I get the metal ring?

Bought a square socket chisel the other day. It needs a handle and one of the end rings. Any one know where to get one?

Have you considered plumbers copper pipe, 15mm for the chisel end and 22mm for the striking end

have to say no but I will. You can't just buy steel rings for this purpose then?

Kettellwood I thought the government had outlawed the hitting of chisels [-X only joking. If its sharp enough shouldn't need beating!!!!!!! :roll: Many woodturning suppliers stock three or more different sizes. For example near me is Wests near Midhurst have them. I bought some two weeks ago. These are brass. You can if you have a supply of copper pipe use that. Both copper and brass cleans nice and bright easy where to polish steel takes more effort and if wet starts to rust. Not so pretty.
