Just thought I'd add this, I did the photos in case anyone at the fayre was interested in how things are made.

I am not sure what the wood is exactly,certainly not good for turning! NOT hardwood! but you know me! if it is wood and it is free I'll give it a go!

By the looks of it - you've got some Pitch pine there, from the stuff I've had - there's 2 distinct types: one that's nice to turn and yours ! - did it smell resinous and was it hard to cut, gumming up your tools ?

If you really liked it.....I've probably got about 4 cubic feet left !

Yes it did smell resinous, as to me liking it ..... erm ..... not really. and as you can see from the first photo, I still have a fair bit to play with! :roll:

ah well its good for making raised beds out of, if nothing else ;)
