Hi, looking to attend a "Record" show in a week or two as have been advises that you can get some good deals....hopefully buy a bandsaw and drill. Any idea as to what sort of discount (if any) to expect?
Hi Steve, at R.S Paskin's of Kidderminster, on my BS400 I had £100 off the price and free delivery. Smaller machines would reduce a little. They have another sale - Demo 11 & 12th March
Don't forget that the blades you need to order are the ones made by Tuffsaw as they are far superior as anyone would tell you.
ta for the advise...nb Knigton "Wales"..so Paskins is "nearest". Have also been to "Pen Tools" Hereford..seems like a really good shop but no ""record" stuff on display..but they do supply it from the catalogue...just like the idea of "seeing it" first....many thank for all the input
Best to give them a call as they started a new set of show specials as of March 1st.
BS400 always seems to be on the list, got mine with £200 off web price at the time price plus free wheel kit plus free delivery from the D&M show in October 2014. Just took delivery of a Startrite SD31 for £240 off web price at the time plus free delivery. The smaller items tend to have less discount in my experience - for example I had gone to the D&M show planning to buy a BS350, bit the bigger discount on the BS400 closed the price gap so much there was little point going for the smaller machine.
I doubt he is posh enough for Knighton Leicester
The seriously rich folks living there would buy a far more expensive brand than record
