n.b. I offered to Jango for nothing but he insisted on paying postage!
I've got boxes and boxes of bits and bobs which I don't expect to sell. Ditto with bike bits - biscuit tins full of strange items, invaluable when you need just one but pointless keeping 25 of them! I had the valve lifter from a BSA M21 in a box for many years, it may still be there I haven't been called on to look for it lately.

Never use 3 in 1 oil ....any oil...on any plane...it gets on your work and ruins it.

it works perfectly well.

If you don't like oil on your plane then just wrap it in a sheet of banrust paper, or If you keep them in a drawer put a sheet in the bottom of the drawer. I keep all my lathe chucks in a cabinet with a sheet in the bottom, no oil everywhere and no rust either.
