Record No042 Cap - would a LN medium shoulder plane fit?

I recently picked up a Record 042 in reasonable condition with a Stanley 90j in its (slightly tatty) box. The only downside was the record is missing the cap - which isn’t going to be easy to replace as half the ones on eBay have a snapped one.

This lead me to wonder - does any one know if a Lie Neilsen one from a medium (No042) would fit. They have quoted $45 plus postage to uk.
